The Fisher's Military Homecoming

Emotions ran high & nerves pulsed through the hangar as dozens of families awaited the return of their loved ones - those who had missed Christmas, birthdays, dance recitals, & baseball games. ​I sat with the Fisher family as we waited, sensing their excitement, & eagerness to hug Dad for the first time in 6 months. 

It was an honor to be there to capture this moment; in fact I was so engulfed, that it wasn't until I bumped into another person, that I became aware that this moment was happening for so many families all around me. I was surprised to hear myself say "wow," & blinked away a few tears. ​Thank you to all our service members & their families for the daily sacrifices that are made to protect our country. We are so thankful.
